Junk Food Review: Fox's Moos.

Last Saturday, I went to a supermarket located 10 minutes away from the school with a couple of people from school. We haven't had this trip for 2 weeks I think? Plus, I haven't really been buying lots of snacks lately; I survived on the suss that the school usually give us, which would normally be chocolates (cheap ones, like Kit Kats, McVetties Penguins, Jacob's Clubs etc.), loafs of bread with Nutella or butter, or a healthier option - fruits.

Anyway, enough of me ranting about my life and just go straight to the snack that I wanted to review. Oh, just before I do that, I've always wanted to do this kind of post for a long time but had no flippin idea on how to do one until just now. I came across some cool blogs like junkfoodguy.com and www.theimpulsivebuy.com and they're amazing at what they're doing. SO, I guess I can give this a try... Just like how I gave the beep test in running club a try when I was actually fasting on that day. And managed to survive! Hooray!

Right, the review. I actually bought quite a number of stuff, but was then settled to just do a review on one product, and it is going to be on Fox's Moos malted milk cream fingers. A new addition to the already existing Fox's biscuit range. I don't know if I'm right or wrong since I'm a no local, but I think judging from the logo which says 'since 1853' this brand is well known for its delicious biscuits with a reasonable price (again, this is because I've tried some other type of buscuits from this brand)

*This is the main packaging. It looks more as if this biscuit is targeted for little kids, rather than adults. But I've always been attracted to THIS kind of things rather than the luxurious ones. Guess I'm forever... childish :p

I bought this from Tesco and it costs around GBP1.29 I think? I forgot how much this is :p. As you can see, a picture of a cow to inform the consumers that this biscuit will taste very milky (hence 'malted milk biscuit') The plastic is easy to rip open; it's not very thick. May be because inside this big pack, the biscuits are actually individually wrapped like this:

*Another picture of a cow? Black and white, with a green patch of grass. Boring. Doesn't matter, as long as the biscuits taste delish!

Tore the plastic open and tadaaa!!! A cow jumping off a crescent moon and some little stars. Cute much? Whatever *crunch* *nom nom nom* milky indeed! It's sweet and.... generally nice. You can taste the malt bits in the biscuits (do I describe this right? I haven't wrote any descriptive essay for a long time so.... yea) and the cream bit in the middle is sugary sweet with a hint of milk and vanilla. To bad I didn't actually give this a sniff because I don't usually sniff my food, unless it gives out a very distinctive smell.

Not bad... Not bad at all. I personally like this biscuit because I'm a big fan of anything sweet, milky and vanilla-ish. However, since it is a buscuit it leaves you with such a messy table. As for me, it gave me crumbles on my textbook. Hate this.

For you readers out there, your kids or babies may like this one. I think it'll be better if they add more calcium, which is usually associated with milk.

That's all for today, ciao! x

PS: Ugh, I'm having a ulcer today which means I won't be able to enjoy food as much now :( and I welcome any advice on improving my food product review :)

Cookie Monster!

I went down the a sandwich bar next to my school to grab something nice (as in sweet and 'junky') to eat and I ended up buying some cookies and sweets.

WHITE CHOCOLATE COOKIE! It's not too soft/chewy like Millie's Cookies which means I didn't make much of a mess.

Cookie slab? I have no idea what that is, it's crunchy, not as sweet as the white chocolate cookies, the chocolate chunks are not very sweet/milky as well and there are some sugar sprinkled at the top. A guess anyone?

..... Tutti fruity pencil sweets I think? Without any sugar cream in the centre. Nothing to be excited about.

My new flowers! I was excited when I first bought it, until I realised that I'll be leaving the school for spring break in less than 2 weeks. FAIL.

I was just bbm-ing with a friend of mine who is living in KL and to my amazement (more like shock), THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WHITE CHOCOLATE COOKIES THERE? I was like, OMG NO FLIPPIN WAY! IT'S A SIN FOR NOT HAVING TO TRY ONE. Then I decided to do some research and found one that Famous Amos do sell one, but it's mixed with macadamia nuts. Blegh. So anyone from KL knows where to get one? I have to get my friend out of despair of not being able to find any white chocolate cookies :) Thank you in advance!

Monday Feast!

Korean fish cake. Yum! :9

brown rice which was cooked together with the fish cake for the extra flavour.

home made veggie soup that I made on Sunday with rice noodle.

I decided not to have school dinner tonight because I have some food with me. Teehee, I can safely say it's tastier and way healthier than school food :D I'll post the recipe for the soup later ♥

Happy 29th of February!

It's the 29th today! An extra day in February and tomorrow marks the start of spring :) Let's be happy, the gloomy winter is soon going to be over and say hello to colours! Yay!! This means I can wear all my colourful clothes as well as my heels. No more layering etc :p

This morning, the mayor of Carderdale came to give us the seniors a brief speech about... I'm not really sure, but I know it's something to do with being happy and so on. I found it quite interesting actually, although my moment was a lil bit interrupted by some noisy guys sitting behind me. I can't really recall all of the things that he's told us, but there are some points that I'm sure will always be remembered by me and here are some of them:
1. Always wear comfy shoes. (I do agree with that, from my past experience :p)
2. Wake up early and see the sunshine.
3. Be nice to others. (cliché)
4. Don't worry about the future.
5. Dare to do something that scares you at least everyday.
6. DANCE! (Now, I really do like this point. I realise that dancing actually lifts up my spirit :D )
7. SING! (Same as dancing; they're like my cocaine somehow)

and so on... something related to Steve Jobs... something about keeping in touch with your best friends and yadayada.

So that's it! Enjoy your day! :)

Healthy and happy :)

I haven't been out jogging for the past few weeks... No, let's just say few months, eversince winter struck. I'm a tropical type of chic, so even a little temperature drop would stop me from being active... outside. Hahaha
And I couldn't just... tuck myself in the blanket all day, everyday. I love moving my body, being active! Since I'm not really a gym-lover either, I decided to google or should I say Youtube-d some workout videos which would keep me fit during this cold season.
Here are some great and fun workout videos that I found:

Stay healthy, be happy!

Sunday Recipe: Tom Yum

Assalamualaikum and hi all! It's been a while since I last posted something on my blog, sorry about that. I was busy with school works (exams, projects etc.) as well as being too lazy due to the lack of inspiration and the snail a.k.a slow internet speed at school. Nonetheless I'm back and ready to be an active blogger again (hopefully, I am committed to my words now :p)
Last night, I was surfing the net and found some really great and awesome blogs! The articles that they posted there are so interesting and they don't just stick to one topic and this really inspires me to be back here again, and this time talking about a wide range of things from food, fashion DIYs and many more.

Right, enough of that.

Today I want to share to all of you this one thing that I have just discovered about myself: I can cook. I mean, seriously, I MADE A TOM YUM SOUP ALL BY MYSELF! I was so proud of myself. I actually made this soup like a few days ago but I'm just going to spill out the recipe to my readers (if any) of my easy and simple Tom Yum soup (the college student style):

Ingridents:
(Note: I didn't really use accurate measurements. It was all based on taste and instinct :D )
3 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
6 cloves of shallots, thinly sliced
3 sticks of lemon grass, chopped (2 cm thick, and slanted style (ya know what I mean))
1 or 2 galangal, sliced (not too thin, around 5 mm thick)
chilli paste
some tomatoes, chopped
salt
sugar
lemon juice
coriander, chopped
some prawns
muchrooms
(and some other seafood if you want, I used beef sausage because that's all I've got )

Steps:
-get a pot, fill it in with water
-all ingradients in except prawns, coriander, mushroom and additional ingredients.
-wait till the water boils
-then the rest goes into the boiling water.

And you're done! Sadly the picture of my Tom Yum is in my phone and I don't have the USB cable so may be I'll post it up later. Anyway, happy cooking!♥
